It has almost literally been FOREVER since I blogged. Many apologies for that. Maybe we'll catch up over Christmas, which for us started last weekend at my parents place in Sauk Centre. We made the most out of lack of snow and brought the girls atv's with so the kids could spend some time outside, essential for the mental health of all the adults. For those of you who don't know, my parents have 37 acres outside of Sauk Centre and Dad has been working for decades making paths to clean up blow downs and dead falls and stuff, so the girls had miles of trails to explore. It was a highlight of the weekend for me. I think the girls enjoyed it too. Another high point was spending time with Owen and Isaiah. Like an underdone pancake, Owen is not quite ready for flipping, but we did have a good time staring at each other and drooling. He did most of the drooling.
We stopped at Applebee's in Fergus Falls for a late lunch on the way home, and the girls both got balloons. Their particular use of the balloons in the van made me wonder how people demonstrated static electricity before balloons were invented.
