Sarah is making the most of the last week of February. Monday evening was her second parent/teacher conference, and she's doing good, of course. She likes reading in class, which still boggles my mind when she reads to me. She needs to work on her listening. No surprise there.
Tuesday night she danced during half time at the Barnesville Girls Varsity basketball game. We had to drop her off at 6:30 so she and her group could practice. We didn't realize that she wouldn't dance until almost 8! Sarah's group danced to "I Will Survive" as sung by Alvin & the Chipmunks (or possibly the Chipettes, they all sound the same to me). It was very cute and Sarah did well. Here are some photos:
Sarah started swimming lessons Wednesday night. I took off work early so I could run to Barnesville and run her back to MSUM by 6:15. As long as the weather is good, we should have plenty of time to do that for the next 5 weeks. She had fun, and should be swimming like a fish by the time she's done! She is the one in pink.
That was just the week through Wednesday night! Tonight, she dances again around 8pm. Tomorrow she (and we) gets to rest. Then on Saturday, we're all going up to Detroit Lakes to watch her dance in a big regional dance conference. Good thing gas prices are down!
UPDATE: Due to the bad weather, Sarah won't be dancing tonight. Woo hoo! Another night off! But it's still been a busy week...
